【Epic Seven - New Moon Luna】
Q: AstrumDesign (hereafter AD), your 1/7 scale New Moon Luna figure has recently been completed and shipped. Why did you choose to create this character in the first place?
AD: A wizard who hides dragon blood in a beautiful white-haired appearance lol
When Epic Seven first came out, tons of new players jumped in just for her—whether it was because of her crazy strong stats or her story.
For newcomers, she’s more of a mid-to-late game character, which actually gave us plenty of time to polish her design.
Since modeling and supervision always take time, we wanted to make sure she was done right.
Plus, she’s the winner of Epic Seven’s 7th Anniversary Popularity Vote, it felt like the perfect chance to spark some conversations and let everyone really enjoy New Moon Luna’s charm.
Q: Beyond her visual design, did you also research her character lore, story, and even the game’s world building?
AD: Absolutely essential.
New Moon Luna is a tragic heroine, carrying a heavy weight (not just the chest kind) That epic vibe is exactly what we love about her, and honestly, it’s the soul of Epic Seven.
Her strong resolve and determination to face her destiny are what drove us to perfect her sculpt and every little detail.
Q: During modeling and supervision, were there any specific design aspects you paid extra attention to?
AD: Probably the chest... wait, hmmm, the horns!
Our modelers are great, but what mattered most was showing her charm and details. At first, New Moon Luna looks mukuchi and gentle—but that’s only because she hides her dragon horns and true self.
Once she reveals her tail and horns, she feels completely different.
That transformation, especially in her skill animations, really caught our eye.
We wanted to capture that sudden surge of emotion breaking free, that impact. Which is why we revised her again and again… about as many times as her chest.
Though, rumor has it a lot of people are actually more interested in her armpits lol.
Q: Looking at your past original and licensed works, horned girls aren’t a first for you. Any particular reason for this preference?
AD: It’s not a deliberate trend, but honestly... Who doesn’t love creatures with horns or animal ears? Don’t you just want to... touch them?
Q: With New Moon Luna now ready for shipment, what’s next for AD?
AD: We're also working on Festive Eda and Sea Phantom Politis. Their physical prototype were also showcased at the World Championship and Wonder Festival. Stay tuned for more~
